The online shops that offer daily deals are a little different in their selling approach. Generally speaking the online shopping sites will offer daily deals at a price that is not as heavily discounted as the dedicated daily deal sites. They tend to focus on products that they already stock and almost treat their daily deal section as a place they put their products on sale.

What kind of products do they sell?

As these shops already sell a certain type of product, they will most likely have a daily product or products that fit with what they normally sell. For example, if they sell electronics, the deals will be focused each day on an electronic good and not food. So having said that, the daily deals from these site will not be as varied as ones from a website sole focused on one day deals.

What to look out for

Daily deals pricing in online shops are more transparent than those dedicated one day sale sites. These sites will have a standard price that the normally sell the product at and then show the daily deal price. In rare cases some deals aren’t always super awesome deals that some sites make out them to be. Like all great deals, it pays to do your homework on the stared deal price and RRP price.

What is a one day deal site?

One day deal sites are online shops that offer one deal for normally 24 hours. Theses site are generally dedicated to supplying daily deals and have sprung up in force over the last few years. Even we established online shopping sites taking this approach, offering a special section with one day sales. Some of these sites offer one deal, some offer three, and other offer ten or more.

When looking for deal or sale site to buy from, I tend do to go with one that has one to three deals and their business dedicated to the 24 hour deals. This is not the one and only rule, but they generally have better deals than larger online shops that focus on normal retailing.

What kind of products do they sell?

They often sell all sorts of products – from mobile phones to beef jerky. Often the dedicated deal sites will offer products that are end of line, or if it’s food, close to expiring. Something to bear in mind is that if you’re buying any discounted food it’s best to check the expiry! These will generally be at a bargain price though.

What should I look out for?

Sometimes there are knock off products that are very similar to original ones but for a much cheaper price – don’t get me wrong, this can mean superb deals – but if you’re not sure be sure to read the product description clearly as almost always it will state what brand the item is. If you’re still not 100% sure ask a question. Nearly all of the one day deal sites have online chat or question and answer facilities on the product page and a quick to respond.
